The CLINICAL ANALYZER is built with balanced flywheels & rollers upon a welded waterjet cut aluminum plate frame. It is equipped with high resolution optical encoders and a USB DAQ interface. Clinicians and researchers may conveniently evaluate patient propulsion and performance in personal wheelchairs through customized NI LabVIEW software. It will be available for sale following a 3 month research study conducted in the UT Austin Mechanical Engineering Department this fall. The device frame has been tested as a recreational device at TIRR in Houston.
